What are Blast Clubs?

Blast Clubs are organized by the Root PTO as a way to offer quality after school enrichment for Root students. Our Blast Club instructors are primarily Root teachers and staff as well as community members who have been approved by the PTO. Root PTO is a volunteer organization and our Blast Club committee chairs will do what they can to help assist with any issues. Please email rootblastclubs@gmail.com.

How much do Blast Clubs cost?

Clubs are offered four sessions a year, for five to seven weeks a session. The cost is $10 per week. Scholarships are available, please contact Katy Seifritz at katy.seifritz@fayar.net for more information.

How does registration work?

Registration typically opens on a Monday at 7 PM and closes the following Friday at noon. The dates will be included on the most current club descriptions flyer/PDF. A registration link will be sent to parents at 7PM and the store will be live at that time. There is typically a lot of activity in the first hour of registration. Some clubs sell out quickly. Please be patient and have a back-up club available if the club you are interested in sells out. Email rootblastclubs@gmail.com if you have any issues.

When do Blast Clubs take place?

Root PTO offers four Blast Club sessions each school year. Each session will meet one day per week for a five to seven week period. Clubs take place after school from 3:15 - 4:15. Please pickup behind the school by 4:20; after that time students will be in the front office waiting for a parent or guardian to pick them up. Repeated late pick-ups could result in removal from Blast Clubs.
